Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
In short
- You do not need an account. We never ask for your name or email address in the app.
- Your profile, workouts and scores are stored only on your phone. We cannot see them.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics, in the app or on this website.
- If the app crashes, a technical crash report is sent to Sentry so we can fix the problem.
- Payments are handled by Google Play. We check your subscription through RevenueCat with an anonymous ID.
Who we are
This policy covers the Living Room Athlete app for Android and the website livingroomathlete.app. Both are run by Kiekens Digital, Loopakker 1, Breda, the Netherlands (KvK 71997067). Kiekens Digital is the controller for the personal data described here.
Questions about privacy or your data: support@livingroomathlete.app.
Data on your phone
The app works without an account. What you enter and what you do in the app is stored only in the app's storage on your phone. This includes:
- your profile: level, gender (used to suggest bell weights), weight unit, your kettlebells and other equipment, and your preferred workout length;
- your workout history, scores and favourites;
- app settings, such as sound and voice cues.
This data is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no access to it. If you have Android's device backup turned on, Android may include app data in your own Google backup. That backup is managed by Google under your account, and we cannot access it.
Crash reports (Sentry)
When the app crashes or runs into an error, it sends a crash report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), a service we use to find and fix bugs. A crash report contains technical information, such as:
- the error and where in the app it happened;
- app version, device model, Android version and language setting;
- the time of the error and the screens you used just before it.
Crash reports do not contain your name or email address. Like any internet service, Sentry receives your device's IP address when the report is sent. We use crash reports only to keep the app working. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing an app that works (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are bought and paid for through Google Play. Google handles the payment and your payment details. We never receive your card details, name or email address from Google. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account and payments.
To check whether you have an active subscription, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.). The app creates a random, anonymous app user ID on your phone. RevenueCat links this ID to your Google Play purchase and keeps a record of it: which product you bought, purchase and renewal dates, price and currency, country, and the store's transaction ID. RevenueCat also receives basic technical data such as app version, device type and IP address. We use this only to give you access to what you paid for. Our legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligation to keep financial records (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Exercise videos
The app does not contain videos. Each exercise has a link that opens a YouTube search for that exercise. When you tap it, you leave the app, and YouTube's and Google's privacy terms apply to what happens there.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no trackers and no analytics. The fonts are hosted on this site itself, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts or other outside services when you visit.
The site is hosted by Vercel (Vercel Inc.). To deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse, Vercel processes technical request data, such as your IP address, the page you requested, the time and your browser type. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you email us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you. We keep the conversation for up to two years after our last contact, unless we need it longer for a legal obligation or a dispute.
No ads, no selling of data
We do not show ads, we do not use advertising IDs, and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.
Service providers and transfers outside the EU
We use Sentry, RevenueCat and Vercel as processors, under data processing agreements. Google acts as its own controller for Google Play. Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, this is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Data on your phone: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Crash reports: deleted automatically by Sentry after at most 90 days.
- Purchase records at RevenueCat: for as long as your subscription is active and after that for as long as Dutch tax law requires us to keep financial records (currently seven years).
- Website request logs at Vercel: for a short period, as set by Vercel.
- Emails: up to two years after our last contact.
How to delete your data
Because there is no account, deleting your data is in your own hands. You can erase all data from the app's settings, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes everything the app stored on your phone. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription; you do that in Google Play.
For crash reports or purchase records, email us. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask for something that helps us find the right record, such as the order number from your Google Play receipt.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. To use these rights, email support@livingroomathlete.app. We reply within one month.
If you think we handle your data in the wrong way, please contact us first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the authority in your own EU country.
Children
Living Room Athlete is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data sent from the app to Sentry and RevenueCat, and between your browser and this website, is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We keep the amount of data we handle as small as possible.
Changes to this policy
If the app or our services change, we will update this policy and the date at the top of this page. Please check this page from time to time.
